Charging the Cybertruck in Europe: connector, adapters, Superchargers, and home

In brief: The Cybertruck has an American NACS connector and 800 V architecture. In Europe, it charges via an NACS→CCS2 adapter – at Tesla Superchargers, at other operators' stations, and at home with a wallbox. This works daily in our customers' cars; below we explain what to expect in terms of power, time, and costs, and what to ask before purchasing.
Connector: why the Cybertruck needs an adapter
The Cybertruck is built for the North American market and has a NACS (North American Charging Standard) plug. In Europe, all fast chargers – including Tesla Superchargers – use the CCS2 connector, and AC chargers use the Type 2 connector. Therefore, you can't just drive up to a European station and plug in the car directly; an NACS→CCS2 adapter is needed for fast charging and an NACS→Type 2 adapter for home or parking charging.
These adapters are available and are a normal part of preparing the car for use in Europe. It's important that they are matched to the power you want to use and correctly handle the car's communication with the station – cheap, random units can limit power or interrupt the session. When purchasing a car from us, we advise on specific solutions and show how to use them.
Fast charging (DC): Superchargers and other stations
In the USA, the Cybertruck charges at Superchargers with power up to about 250 kW, and even faster at the latest V4 stations. In Europe, the real power depends on three things: the station, the adapter, and the battery condition. At a good CCS2 station with 150–300 kW power, with the right adapter and a warmed-up battery, replenishing energy from 10 to 80% takes approximately half an hour to 40 minutes. With a cold battery and a weaker station – longer. Therefore, before a long trip, it's worth setting the Supercharger as a destination in navigation: the car will preheat the battery (preconditioning) and charging will start at full power.
What about access to Tesla Superchargers? The network in Europe is mostly open to non-Tesla cars, and the Cybertruck is recognized as a Tesla – charging is billed through the Tesla app or the operator's card, depending on the station. Stations of other networks (Ionity, GreenWay, Orlen Charge, and others) work with the adapter just like with any CCS2 car.
Home and parking charging (AC)
The Cybertruck's onboard charger is adapted to the American 240 V network and accepts up to about 11.5 kW. In a European three-phase installation, through an adapter, you will practically get several to a dozen kilowatts – depending on the wallbox, installation, and adapter. With a battery over 120 kWh, this means that full charging from a home wallbox takes all night, but you can easily top up daily commutes. If you plan to charge mainly at home, let us know before purchase – we will select an adapter and suggest which wallbox makes sense.
How much does charging the Cybertruck cost
The Cybertruck consumes approximately 25–35 kWh per 100 km, depending on speed and weather (more in the article on real range). With home electricity at about 1 PLN/kWh, that's 25–35 PLN per 100 km; at a fast station at 2.5–3 PLN/kWh – 65–100 PLN per 100 km. For comparison, a pickup with a V8 engine can consume 15 liters per 100 km, which is over 90 PLN. A mix of home and public charging results in costs lower than in a combustion vehicle of this class.
Powershare: 120/240 V outlets in the bed
The Cybertruck has electrical outlets in the bed and cabin, which can power tools, camping equipment, or a trailer – up to several kilowatts in total. These are American voltage standards, so for European devices, an appropriate adapter or 110/240 V equipment is needed; in practice, the 240 V outlet is most commonly used. On a construction site, outdoors, or during a power outage, this is a real advantage over any other car.
What to ask before purchasing
- What DC and AC adapter is included and what power it is certified for.
- Whether the car has up-to-date software – charging sessions and navigation with preconditioning work through OTA updates, which the Cybertruck in Europe receives normally.
- How billing works at Superchargers – Tesla app, card, operator account.
- Whether a wallbox can be installed in your garage (three-phase installation, protections).
Cars from our showroom are prepared for charging in Europe, and before pickup, we show how it works – both at the station and at home.
Test drive with charging
It's best to see for yourself: in Katowice (ul. Francuska 184) or Częstochowa (ul. Główna 140) we will connect the car in front of you and answer questions about your route and your garage. Write on WhatsApp to schedule an appointment.
Frequently asked questions
Can the Cybertruck be charged at European stations?
Yes – via an NACS→CCS2 adapter (fast charging) and NACS→Type 2 (AC charging). This works at Tesla Superchargers and other operators' stations.
What power does the Cybertruck charge at in Europe?
Depending on the station, adapter, and battery temperature – at a good CCS2 station, approximately 10–80% in half an hour to 40 minutes. At home with a wallbox: several to a dozen kW, i.e., full charging overnight.
Can the Cybertruck use Tesla Superchargers in Europe?
Yes. European Superchargers have a CCS2 connector, so an adapter is needed; billing through the Tesla app or card, depending on the station.
How much does charging the Cybertruck cost?
Approximately 25–35 PLN per 100 km when charging at home and 65–100 PLN at a fast station – with consumption of 25–35 kWh per 100 km.
What is the battery capacity of the Cybertruck?
Over 120 kWh of usable capacity – it's one of the largest batteries in passenger cars, hence a range of about 500 km despite a weight of over 3 tons.
Can the Cybertruck be charged from a regular socket?
In an emergency, yes, with a 230 V socket cable and adapter, but with about 2 kW power – that's several dozen hours to full. For daily use, a wallbox is needed.
Do cars from your showroom have adapters?
Cars from our offer are prepared for charging in Europe; before pickup, we show how to use the stations and how to charge at home. Details of the set are determined at purchase.
