Cybertruck available now or new from the USA? A 2026 buying guide

Tesla doesn't sell the Cybertruck in any European showroom. If you want to drive one in Europe, you have two realistic options: buy a car that has already been imported and registered in Poland, or order a brand-new one from a Tesla store in the USA and collect it about three months later. Both routes are legal, and we handle both from start to finish. They differ in waiting time, in how much you can configure, and in when you pay. This guide will help you decide.
The short version
- Available now: the car is already in Poland on Polish plates. You can inspect it and test-drive it before you buy.
- Ordered from the USA: a factory-new car in the version and colour you choose. From order to collection takes about 3 months.
- Either way, the Cybertruck is registered in Poland at 4,250 kg gross vehicle weight. In Poland you can drive it on a category B licence held for at least 2 years.
- Live outside Poland? We register the car to a Polish company that we set up for you as part of the service.
Why you can't buy a Cybertruck from a European Tesla store
The Cybertruck was built for American regulations. It has no European type approval and no standard Certificate of Conformity (CoC), the document that every Tesla built for the EU market comes with. That's why you can't order it in the configurator on Tesla's European website or collect it from a local store.
The legal route is individual vehicle approval: a specific vehicle is technically adapted, inspected and then approved for use on the road in Poland. The procedure is set out in EU Regulation 2018/858. We explain it in detail in How to register a Cybertruck in Europe.
Option 1: a Cybertruck available now
"Available now" means a car that has already been through the whole process. It has been imported from the USA, technically adapted, approved for the road and registered in Poland. There's no waiting for a ship or for paperwork: once the purchase is complete, you can drive away.
When it's the right choice
- You want to be driving a Cybertruck within weeks, not months.
- You'd rather see and test the exact car before you pay. We'll show it to you at our showroom in Katowice or Częstochowa.
- The version and colour on offer are what you're after.
What to watch out for
- You can only choose from the cars we currently have, and they tend to sell quickly.
- If the car has mileage, check its history. Our guide Used Cybertruck: what to know before buying lists what to verify.
You'll find the cars currently available in our showroom:
Option 2: a new Cybertruck ordered from the USA
This is the route we recommend most often. We order a factory-new car for you from a Tesla store in the USA, ship it to Poland and take it through the entire registration process. You get a car with 0 km on the clock, no previous owner and no questions about accident history, in the version, colour and equipment you choose.
How the process works, step by step
- Consultation and configuration. We agree on the version, colour, equipment and payment schedule.
- Reservation and order with Tesla. Once the deposit is paid, we place the order at a Tesla store in the USA.
- Shipping to Europe. After collection from Tesla, the car is shipped to Europe. Waiting for the car and for transport is the longest part of the process.
- Technical adaptation. We carry out the modifications required for the technical inspection and approval for EU roads.
- Inspection and individual vehicle approval. The car passes a technical inspection and the individual approval procedure in Poland.
- Registration at 4,250 kg. The Cybertruck weighs about 3.1 tonnes, so we register it at a gross vehicle weight of 4,250 kg. That lets you legally carry passengers and cargo.
- Insurance and final payment. You pay for insurance and settle the rest of the price.
- Collection. You pick up your Cybertruck, on Polish plates, at our showroom.
The whole process usually takes about 3 months from the moment you order. The exact timing depends on availability at Tesla and on shipping dates. We state it in your offer and keep you informed at every stage.
The deposit: what to ask before you pay
Ordering a car from the USA requires a deposit, because it pays for the order with Tesla and for arranging transport. Before you pay anything, we go through the deposit amount, the schedule of further payments and the refund terms with you. Ask every importer these questions. A trustworthy company will answer them without hesitation.
Available now or made to order: a comparison
- Time to collection: available now, right after the paperwork; ordered, about 3 months.
- Version and colour: available now, only the cars in stock; ordered, the configuration you choose.
- Condition: available now, depends on the car; ordered, always new with 0 km.
- Seeing the car before buying: available now, you inspect and drive that exact car; ordered, you can book a test drive first.
- Payments: available now, you pay for a finished car; ordered, a deposit up front and the rest in stages.
Registration and driving licence: 4,250 kg and category B
We register every Cybertruck in Poland at a gross vehicle weight of 4,250 kg. Polish law allows a driver who has held a category B licence for at least 2 years to drive an alternative-fuel vehicle of up to 4,250 kg. The conditions: the excess over 3.5 tonnes must result from the alternative drivetrain, and the registration certificate must carry the relevant annotation. When these conditions are met, you don't need a category C licence in Poland.
This is a Polish rule. Other EU countries apply their own driving-licence regulations. Read more about the procedure itself in Can the Cybertruck be registered in Poland?
Buying from outside Poland? How the Polish company works
Customers from Germany, Spain, France and other EU countries often ask whether they can buy a Cybertruck in Poland. They can, but not as a private individual who then re-registers the car at home. That model doesn't work: the Cybertruck has no European CoC, and a Polish individual approval doesn't transfer automatically to other countries.
So we set up a Polish company that you own. The company buys and registers the Cybertruck. The car has a Polish registration certificate and Polish plates, and you use it as a company car. Running the company costs about €2,000 a year, and we take care of the formalities.
If a company car is used in another EU country for a longer period (usually more than 6 months), additional local requirements may apply. We discuss them case by case. The full model is described in Where to buy a Tesla Cybertruck in Europe?
What it costs
The final amount is made up of:
- the price of the car, which depends on the version and configuration and, for cars ordered from the USA, on the dollar exchange rate,
- shipping to Europe and import formalities,
- technical adaptation, inspection and individual vehicle approval,
- registration and insurance; our guide Insuring a Cybertruck in Poland covers choosing a policy,
- for customers outside Poland, running the Polish company, about €2,000 a year.
We give you the exact amount for your chosen configuration in a personal offer, with every item listed. If you'd prefer to spread the cost, look at leasing a Cybertruck. Prices of cars available now are in our showroom.
Which option suits you
Choose a car available now if
- time matters and you want to drive straight away,
- you want to see and test a specific car before buying,
- the available version and colour suit you.
Choose a new Cybertruck from the USA if
- you want a factory-new car with no history at all,
- you have specific wishes for the version, colour and equipment,
- you can wait about 3 months.
Frequently asked questions
Does Tesla officially sell the Cybertruck in Europe?
No. Tesla doesn't offer the Cybertruck in its European stores because the car has no European type approval. In Europe it can be driven legally after import and individual vehicle approval, for example in Poland.
How long does it take to import a new Cybertruck from the USA?
Usually about 3 months from order to collection. In that time the car is ordered from Tesla, shipped to Europe, technically adapted, approved for the road and registered.
Is a category B driving licence enough to drive a Cybertruck?
In Poland, yes, if you have held category B for at least 2 years. We register the Cybertruck at 4,250 kg with the alternative-drivetrain annotation in the registration certificate. Other countries apply their own rules.
Can I see the car before buying?
Yes. We'll show you the cars available now at our showroom in Katowice (ul. Francuska 184) or Częstochowa (ul. Główna 140), where you can also book a test drive.
Can I buy a Cybertruck in Poland if I'm not Polish?
Yes. The car is then bought and registered by a Polish company that you own. We set it up for you as part of the service, and running it costs about €2,000 a year.
